The person doing the refueling was killed unfortunately. There is a brief clip of the fire at the link below. They said that a half cup of gasoline in a bilge can cause an explosion equal to a couple of sticks of dynamite! Thats why venting is so important when you have internal fuel tanks. Fuel systems should be inspected often and leaks repaired immediately. Some boats (I can\'t remember the requirements) are required to have fans to blow fresh air into the hulls.
