Norman 08/24/08
Message posted by George H. 205.141.0.1
Fished Norman with my son on Sunday from 7am to 3pm. Tried to find some spots on south part of the lake. We just started fishing and find out that trolling motor is almost dead (didn’t get charge, or wiring problem?). We didn’t give up and fished points and boat docks moving mainly by current. Mu son had 8 bites on fluke, but he managed only four 13–14 inch fish. He had 10lb line on that rod and probably couldn’t get good hookset. I had one 3lb and a few small ones on 1/8 shaky head with GP finesse worm. All spotted bass. Didn’t catch a lot, but you always fill like a winner when you take your child from the street to the fishing. Got home at 5pm and watched the last Olympic Games and the closing ceremony. Great day.2008-08-25 09:33:42 |

Can\'t wait until September. The topwater bite picks up good for me. I like a pop r fished around midlake. Of course the bites are mainly spots with a largemouth here and there. Good time of the year to take your children fishing.2008-08-26 14:11:48 |
