well, i get to fish tomorrow, sitting in 6th with 10lbs 14oz. caught 2 on a buzbait and 3 on a jig, caught a couple shorts on the jig but it was TOUGH! and hot! go back at it tomorrow.2008-09-13 19:02:56 |

I caught plenty of fish just all shorts. Caught mine on spinnerbait, shallow crankbait and shaky head around rocks and hot hole. Wish I would have gone to the hot hole earlier! Good luck tomorrow 2008-09-13 20:44:44 |

day 2 was toughter than day 1! could only coral 8+lbs of those litle green fish, the good news is that i wasnt the only one it was tough on. ended up 5th with 19lbs 5oz for 2 days.
caught my fish today on a buzzbait around rocky banks, one on EZMONEY under a shallow dock and my last keeper came on a shakeyhead around a deeper dock. covered a ton of water, should have fished new water today but thats what happens when you dont practice.2008-09-14 21:16:44 |

Spent Sunday way up the river (near Bill\'s Marine) throwing a frog and jig, manage a few small keepers. Thursday, Fished up around Hwy 150 got a decent topwater pattern and prop bee on big largemouths. So Friday spent running around the lower lake, caught a few out of the hot hole but knew that would not last, found a couple of football jig. Saturday went to catch those largemouths to find they had moved back or left because of high blue sky, went back down the lake with the football jig and manage non keeper spots. Ended up with the Goose Egg. Never thought that those small spots would earn a check, boy was I wrong. I think most of the people who went up the river didnt fair well.
